I just upgraded to vegas 11 and can’t animate keyframes anymore the way I used too. I am completely lost.

For instance I am trying to add a black and white effect at a exact specific time, but using the “animate” key and then moving along the timeline does not change the preview of the clip selected so I have almost no way of pinpointing the exact time unless I lined it up from the seconds in the clip to the time in the actual timeline.

In vegas 9 I could open a clip, add a fx like black and white, create a keyframe with default parameters and then add a keyframe several seconds later with the paramaters I wanted, the difference was i would see a preview as i dragged my cursor along the event fx timeline in the actual video so i could find the right time to add keyframes

Maybe i’m missing something but it seems in vegas 11 they have made it so i cannot do what i want. at all..

Vegas 11 uses OFX plugins. Thus, you have to click small “Clock” icon to the right of the parameter, which you want to animate…

not what i mean. but i found the answer.

I didn’t realize the “sync cursor to timeline” option was not ticked as in vegas 9 i have never even touched that option i assumed it was just changed in vegas 11 guess its not just ticked by default.
