I have been using the HD Extreme capture card for video preview and capture for about a month. I much prefer monitoring out of the BMD card than using the Windows secondary display or DV IEEE1394 option.

And then yesterday it stopped working. The hardware is still functional, I can playback clips from the card using Media Express. I can capture to the card with Media Express. (Blackmagic software)

But Sony Vegas 10c and 9e just give the the “Device Not Available” notice and does nothing.

Any ideas on why it dropped off and how to fix it?

    Thanks

Not sure (never sure), but I know there’s a new driver (I think it’s 7.9.5). You can always give that a go.

    I re-installed Blackmagic with the latest drivers a (7.9.5). That didn’t help.

But I have the problem solved. I uninstalled blackmagic again and this time I ran CCleaner before re-installing.

    Bingo!

    Thank you for your help.
