Vegas 10 Sales?
Hey guys, I’ve been a long time lurker here, love the knowledge base! I’ve been editing quite happily on Vegas Pro 9, but after a large project of mine started displaying only black frames when it the fileIO handler started getting overloaded whenever I had H264 files in the timeline, I was forced to jump to the Trial of Vegas Pro 10. I generally like to wait two iterations before upgrading, but it looks like now I’ll have to make the leap.
So the question is, how often do upgrade sales (Vegas to Vegas Pro 10) come out? I know I just missed one earlier this month (curses!) but if this is a semi-regular thing I’ll just tough it out until the next sale. Let me know.
Also, it seems this last deal was sent out via email…how does one sign up for this particular email? I’ve been a Vegas user for years and I’ve never once received an email from Sony…

They are offering 30% off through the end of May. If you have registered your software with Sony you should have been receiving these emails.

I have been registered for years now, but I must not have checked a “receive promotional emails” link or something. Is there a link I can go to to obtain this discount? There are only a couple days left in May…I’m worried I’m going to miss out! Thanks for the response.

but that doesn’t seem to work anymore and I saw on another site that the deadline was May 14th. Do you know for sure it goes until the end of the month? Any help would be appreciated!

It was extended to the end of the month.
Again, I don’t see anywhere on the email that says not to share the link, but it does say: “Offer available only when purchasing directly from Sony Creative Software via links in this email.”Steve Mann
