Vegas 10 can’t find plug-ins
Posted by Willie Bobo on June 4, 2012 at 7:41 pmI just built a new dedicated A/V system (Vegas and Sonar X1).
For some reason it’s not finding my 3rd party plugs (ie Neat Video and Sonitus EQ)….any thoughts?
Thanks very much,

Sorry but I gotta ask… The first question is did you install them?
Did you change architectures and are now using a 64-bit system with 32-bit plug-ins?
You really didn’t tell us a whole lot about what’s different with your new system to go by.

June 4, 2012 at 7:59 pmThanks John,
The new build is:
Windows 7, 64 bit,Vegas 10 (build 738) 64 bit
Intel Core i7-3770S
Asus P8Z77-V LK mobo
2X8GB Corsair XMS3 memory
180GB Corsair Force series 3 SSD
some HDDs
Delta 1010I had noticed Sonitus EQ not available a while back but wound up using another EQ. This morning I installed Neat Video 2 and have been emailing support…after several emails (superb support it seems) and an uploaded screen captures they asked me to install version 3 demo …still not showing.

June 4, 2012 at 9:08 pmIf just Neat Video is giving you problems it may be limited to that. Did you install the 64-bit version of Sonar X1? That should load the 64-bit audio plug-ins.

June 5, 2012 at 11:06 amIf the guys at Neat Video figure out what it is, please post back and let us know so that others can find the answer. I’ve never had Vegas not see plug-ins so this is very strange.

June 5, 2012 at 1:57 pmThe last thing Neat asked me to try yesterday was to download/install the 32 bit version to see if it shows up…I just tried it and it shows up (and works fine). It seems that VP10 is not seeing my 64 bit plugs for some reason.

June 5, 2012 at 2:10 pmLong story but as I was just filling out a support ticket to SCS I just noticed I have installed build 737 and not 738 (which of course is the 32 bit version)
I haven’t used 32 bit anything (I didn’t have to) in quite a while so not sure how this could have happened …but yeah….user error….sheesh.
Thanks so much for your help,
