  • Vector Paint on Precomposed Layer – 1 Frame Mismatch

I have a quicktime of talent over a white backdrop which is to be pulled out. Unfortunately, the talent’s shirt is also white. So I’m painting back in her shirt with vector paint (in original alpha). (It’s only 50 frames, so not terrible.) However, I’m running into this issue

We precomposed the talent so we only need to make changes once across multiple comps if the client needs to change something. However, on this particular comp, it is reading the comp source data 1 frame off, but the vector paint on that layer is correctly. Put another way, the precomp is displaying TC 00:48:11, but pulling vector paint data from 00:48:12. This is obviously causing problems:

    vector paint mismatch

Has anyone else seen this before?

This happens regardless of the composite type set in vector paint. If I enable Time Remapping, I can see that the TC is reading 1 frame off, but slipping doesn’t remedy the problem.
