    Hi all,

I’m having some issues using vector files. I copied and pasted some text from another application into Photoshop, turned it into a vector layer and then exported it as a photoshop.pdf file with the knowledge that pdf’s can read vector format. Viewing it in preview on my mac was fine. I could zoom into over 6000% with no pixelation at all.

Anyway, when I made a new canvas and imported this pdf text file to it, I did a ‘save as’ and exported the whole thing as another photoshop.pfd with the intention on having my new vector graphic ready to send off and be turned into business cards but alas, it didn’t work.

The text was slightly feathered around the edges and began to pixelate at any size about 100%. Can anyone help me out here please?

What were your settings when you exported? 300dpi? 150 dpi? Try exporting something a little more common for printer/prepress such as a TIFF in CMYK mode (or Greyscale if this is a monchrome image).
