  • Vector crispness when compressing

    Hello all,

I’ve rendered a vector animation, file size is 1.2GB (it’s quite long) I’ve uploaded a screenshot.

When uploading to Vimeo, it’s compressing it which creates a halo type shadow around each vector. Same when I compress through Quicktime.

Is there a different way to render this out so it’s small enough to upload while keeping the sharpnesss?

    Many thanks,
    Katie

What are your current export settings? I’ve exported to Pro Res before uploading to YouTube in the past, but I’m not sure Vimeo allows that. I probably makes a minimal difference anyway. Adobe Media Encoder has H.264 presets for Vimeo that I typically use now. Bumping up the bitrate may help, but unfortunately Vimeo is going to re-compress whatever you upload anyway so it may not solve the issue.
