VASST apps for Sony Vegas
Posted by David Judd on May 27, 2013 at 9:42 pmHI all,
Maybe John Rofrano can help me.
Last week I tried to get some apps for Vegas from VASST and had a problem with getting the Credit card acceptance because the address was not correct. The address is correct.
Have now sent 3 emails to VASST sales over a period of 2 weeks, one re a promotion and two about the Card problem and they do not respond.
The desire to purchase the apps is waning.

May 28, 2013 at 2:16 pmHi, John, I like your wisdom, if you can share some, please do. I posted yesterday 5.27 2:53pm, if you have time or insight, thanks. sorry to contact you this way. I figured I probably overlooked some obvious thing regarding assembling a feature from other smaller projects and having the master bus sound fx carry over per timeline chunk brought into the final assembly. maybe at this point I should just take the project with the fussiest sound fixed by the master bus and use that as the final assembly project, and bring in other clips. and if the less fussy clips need a little adjustment, do that. or, should I just put it all together as a dvd in architect and also save it as a web upload, if possible so as to save time? want to make the highest quality dvd possible now of roughcut and same for web upload for online screeners for festival submsn.
or am I to render each clip separately and then do a final assembly as a new project?
as in render, open sv new project, bring in rendered clips to the timeline and then save and re render or convert to dvd and convert to web upload format?
before I bought sv 12 platinum suite I called sony for advice abt building system and using the 129 dollar version, the person suggested doing the feature in chunks, maybe unnecessary as my system is decent, I hope for an avchd project coming from canon vixia hfs 200 shot in full hd, albeit on a little camera, true 24p cinemode and some fakey 24p cinemamode that’s really 60. computer is new i7, 8g ram, hvdia 650 ti oc version. just want to get a feature roughcut, no vfx other than lightening/darkening, no cg, just raw footage, fix the sound, get it out n in some fests hopefully. eventually have to buy a blu ray burner I guess for exhibition. sensor on camera was not huge, so not going to look awesome on bigscreen, just barely passable on larger tv, I’m guessing. -

May 29, 2013 at 9:46 amHi Jim, I just answered your original post in detail. Bottom line is you can render just the audio to WAV files and replace the audio in your master project with the fixed audio from the small projects. Next time just work in one project unless you buy Vegas Pro which allows nested projects.
Good luck with your festival submission.
