    Hi all,

In a nutshell, I am recording a bunch of Betacam SP tapes via Final Cut Pro 7 as 10-bit uncompressed Quicktime.

Some of the files contain the video stream on stream 0…

    0:0 video
    0:1 audio
    0:2 audio
    0:3 audio
    0:4 audio

While others contain the video stream on stream 4…

    0:0 audio
    0:1 audio
    0:2 audio
    0:3 audio
    0:4 video

Any idea why this is? They are being recorded on the same computer, in exactly the same manner.

Strange to me that sometimes the video stream location flip flops, in which case I have to remap it back to stream 0 on the files that place it on stream 4.

Could this be related to the tape?

[Grant Rammer] “Using a Blackmagic Optical Fiber card and recording the SDI input.”

What specific card? Plugged into a PCIe slot? Or via Thunderbolt? Capturing with what…the BMD capture software or FCP 7?
