    The following problems are improved.

    1. TC value from the RS422 (9P) output may be shifted (advanced) 1 frame to the picture output. (59/60, 50i/25P mode) On 9P fixed data creation, when the TC sense (9P command) is inputted to a certain period, the TC value which is advanced 1 frame to the output picture is returned. It is corrected.

    2. On 25P (HD), 25P (SD) mode, when the “DEVICE TYPE REQUEST” command is requested from the 9P, the value of “F233” for 24P mode is responded instead of value of “F133” for 50i/25P mode.

And We got another Service Bulletin 0410s182 for the camera

Supplement NTSC/PAL Broadcast Product Subject : Improvement of Waterproof Rubber (for Cassette Cover)

Deform Please use this supplement together with the Service Manual as follows : Model No. Bulletin No. Model No. Bulletin No. AJ-HDC20AP 56 AJ-HDC27FP 35 AJ-HDC20AMC 29 AJ-HDC27FE 29 AJ-HDC20AEN 24 AJ-HDC27FMC 29 Effective from K4THA0001 Effective from K4THB0001 Chassis Frame Assembly (3)

Symptom: 1). Waterproof Rubber may be deformed. 2). When the cassette compartment is locked, the Waterproof Rubber may be bitten and then the cassette compartment may not be lock normally. Cause : There is a little space between the Waterproof Rubber and cassette compartment. When the Waterproof Rubber touches the coil spring of cassette compartment while the cassette compartment is locked, the Waterproof Rubber is bitten and then the cassette compartment may not be lock normally. As a result of it, the Waterproof Rubber is compressed at the irregular position. Then it is deformed.

Remedy : To prevent the Waterproof Rubber from deforming, the Guard Metal Unit (VXA7971) is added to the Waterproof Rubber. ++ Note ++ Regarding the productions from March 2004 to October 2004, as the adhesion to the Waterproof Rubber is reinforced, this modification is not required. Part Number Ref. No. Original Part No. New Part No. Part Name & Descriptions Pcs Remarks — VXA7971 GUARD METAL U 0?2

< Modification Method > 1. Unscrew the 4 screws and remove the Cassette Cover. 2. Loosen the 5 screws and remove the Side Case (L) U. 3. Peel off the seal on the double-faced tape on the Guard Metal U (VXA7971) and install it to the Side Case (L) U. At this time, install it to the protrusion of Waterproof Rubber from second to 4th one as shown in figure 1. 4. When installing, the protrusions of Waterproof Rubber are pulled out by the tweezers until the snapping sound is heard. So, they are protruded from the Guard Metal U surely as shown in figure 2. 5. After above step, press the Guard Metal U to an arrow direction as shown in figure 2 to adhere surely. EDA00077KG040045EDA00338KG040286KG040312:1

We had a slack problem with the 1200AE which when presented was a known issue from the factory and rectified. I’ll try and dig it out

Hope this helps with your individual pieces.
