Varicam work flow question
Hi, everyone,
I have a client who wants to do the following:
As we tape a series of interviews, to also output the HD-SDI signal to a down-converter, then store the SD signal (with TC and audio) on a hard drive. Then when the shoot is over, upload the SD material to an FTP site where an editor in a different city can download and start editing.
The idea is that the editor can, the following day, auto-conform the original tapes, using the list s/he generated during the edit of the SD material.
I’m not sure how to do this, or how much space we would need on the hard drive. We’re not concerned about image quality for the uploaded footage, so it can certainly be compressed so long as the TC numbers remain accurate.
Any thoughts/ideas on this?
thanks in advance,
