some of our project was shot in varicam mode when it was supposed to be in 24p mode.
is there any way to convert the footage to make it look like regular 24p hd footage.
i tried Graeme Nattress’ g standards and g film converter plug-ins but i didn’t have any luck.
    thanks,

What do you mean “Varicam mode?” It’s all Varicam mode, the operator selects what frame rate to shoot in. So what you’re saying is that some footage was shot in a different frame rate than 24? How to fix it all depends on what actual frame rate that footage was shot in.

Keep in mind that everything is actually recorded to tape at 59.94. We did a project recently that was shot in both 24 and 25p and I just captured and cut everything at 59.94. It all cut together perfectly with no issues.

walter, thanks for your response. it looks like the footage in question was shot at the 60p setting and while we’re screening it looks like really bad video(obviously not film look 24p). on our past projects we have done this intentionally for slow motion purposes and used the panasonic frc. on this project, the dp left the camera on the wrong setting, 60p, and we are now trying to figure out how to make that footage look like 24p without it being slow motion.
    thanks,
