    hello all

i am planning a varicam shoot and have a question. as this will be primarally a greenscreen shoot i want to record the HD-SDI out to a computer to get the full raster 10bit uncompressed image on disk. i have been doing research on how to deal with variable frame rates and this workflow. i have read some bits here and there that imply that the AJA Kona cards can successfully read the variable frame rate data in the RP188 stream in the HD-SDI signal and remove the duplicate frames on capture. If this is the case can i do this with a Kona LH or is a Kona 3 required ? does anyone have experience with this worlfkow that can shed light into the process ? is there a way to do this with blackmagic hardware as well or is this a kona-specific feature ? thank you very much !
