I recently shot a music video using the Varicam F series with 35mm lenses. The footage was captured via firewire (1200A) using the DVCPRO HD 720p/24 codec. All went well except for two clips. The first clip was shot at 720p/24 and was captured at 720p/24, but shows up in the bin as having a 59.94 Vid Rate (while all the other clips have the 23.98). I captured the clip several times and it kept showing up with a 59.94 Vid Rate.
Then I captured a clip that was shot at a 48 fps and it also shows up in the bin with a 59.94 Vid Rate and plays fast in the 23.98 sequence instead of slow motion.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this happening? I hope this is user error because I am baffled.

    Thanks for your help.

Did you happen to digitize the bars at the beginning of the tape? If so, redigitize without the bars. The bars only do 720p60 and not 720p24.
