I was hoping to use the variable speed curve in FCP to create the sound of music slowing down to a stop (like an unplugged record player would “wind down”) but from playing around with it a bit, it only seems to affect the video. I want that pitch shift that you get when audio slows down (which you can do with a constant speed change) but is there any way to do this with a speed curve? THanks

Nope. AFAIK, that’s the way it works. Maybe you can have an audio specialist create this for you on a DAW?
