    Hi.
    I am creating an 10 sec intro and need to rotate/zoom an image from bkgnd to fgnd on z axis where the rotation speed varies from slow to fast.
    When I try this, I keep getting a “rewind” effect.
    Could someone pls explain to me how to do this.?

    Did you try adding smoothness to the track motion?

    I started this .veg with 2 key frames, one at start and one at end,10 sec. Set the Motion tracking to 3D alpha on the top track, and set the X rotation to 1600 deg for the last keyframe. Then clicked every 2 seconds to add keyframes, then slide all the middle keyframes down to the right in non linear seperation distances like in the pic to speed the rotation up. I tried using a veloity envelope at first instead of keyframes, set to speed up but it didn’t seem to work.

    You can also do a simple zoom/spin with pan/crop, although you are limited in how far you can zoom in/out.

    In the pan/crop window, create a keyframe in the event where you want the spin/zoom to start, then create another keyframe toward the end (where you want the slip to finish). Then move the mouse just off the corner of the frame until it changes to the rotate cursor. Then drag in circles to rotate the frame several turns (however much you need). Then adjust the size to set the final zoom level.

    Set the first keyframe to “Slow” interpolation (right-click on the keyframe diamond) to make the spin/zoom gradually speed up. Try “Fast” interpolation for the opposite.

    Thanks, Danny.
    This works, with a twist.

    I didn’t use track motion since i always seem to “lose” the rotated object after a few operations.
    I used event/crop and set the end rotation speed to a multiple of 360.
    Then i did the keyframe NL re-positioning.
    I then sized the image small at the start and normal at the end.

    No, I didn’t since i was able to do it with event/pan sizing and KF NL repositioning.

    I used basically this method but entered a rotation value instead of rotating the image.
