struggling with a project in v8.2 that can’t be round tripped due to corrupt xml and wondering whether v9 would be able to display the timeline in full so i can render target.

Does v9 display resized clips (say 1/4) on alpha so you can see the video below in the other 3/4?

    Thanks

Not as far as I know….
Which is a valid feature request if it doesnt work at all.
Juan, when you scale down a video on track two, can you picture in picture it ?
Or does it require loading a matte and scaling that too ?

    A slice of color…

One workaround for this is to feed an alpha out by drawing a quad window around the image. Not ideal I know, but will work for now if you don’t have 100s of shots which need this.

    What Rohit said! 😉

Basically you need to scale the picture, then add a power window to it, and use the key from that window to feed into an output alpha, that will reveal the underlying image.

    thanks guys

same as v8 then. I was hoping as I’d Alexis Van Hurkman’s demo with alpha’d titles that it would just work with picture in picture now.
