    Hi,

We just upgraded to V2023.2, and I’m noticing some definite lags in this version compared to v22,23. When I render either in the PV or Render Queue, the whole program is completey laggy.

For example, if I want to scroll through the picture viewer to see the completed frames, it’s impossible. Even just stopping the render queue takes quite a while. I tried the same scene in V23, and its much smoother. Preferences are the same, and I have adapt thread priority on which is the default. Anyone run into this?

Here are some tips that might work for you

Check and optimize your Redshift settings for performance.

Experiment with adjusting the number of threads Redshift is using.

Make sure your computer has enough resources to handle the render.

Check for updates for Redshift and Cinema 4D.

Check your scene for any factors that might be causing lag, such as high-polygon models or heavy simulations.

NOTE- These version May not be stable for you so I might also suggest you use other versions

    Hi,

Just to update, these Scenes don’t use Redshift, so I don’t think it’s a redshift issue. I’m actually now starting to lean to it being a non C4D issue. We recently moved all projects to shared storage on 1 drive, and it syncs and looks for changes all day. I’m thinking that actually might be causing the delay more than c4D. Gonna experiment with shutting off one drive for a few hours and see if it helps.
