I was just doing some testing and it seem that you can only mix and match video of different frame rate in a timeline.
When I try to add a clip that has audio it complains about different rates. The deal is all the audio is 48k and only the video frame rates are different.
I have tried it in a 1080i/29.97 pgm, 1080p/ 29.97 pgm and a 1080p/23.97 pgm. any one else seeing this??

    Hi Greg,

Yes, this has been an ongoing issue with M100 over the years. You can mix video, but not audio. I asked this specific question on the M100 v2 webinar last week, and they confirmed, no mixed audio rates.

This is big problem for us, as we restore and update old projects all the time, and back in the day, M100 used a different audio standard.

To any of the M100 folks out there, even a simple offer to conform the audio clip to the program’s sample rate would be very helpful.

Whoops! I posted too quick without reading your post carefully. Looks like you do have one audio rate, just different video rates.

But the audio rate still frustrates!

    We know.
Video standard flexibility is fundamental to the way we designed the REDCODE workflow, and of course it’s useful even without a RED camera so we made sure it works for any mix of standards. But audio is a pretty tricky problem in its own right and we had to omit that flexibility for now. Stay tuned.
