v1u capture settings
i captured a project in HDV10801 with prog scan off
what settings should i use to capture
i have some friends who are able to capture no problem and others like me who can’t get the camera to read. the firewire cable works with other cameras and i capture in dv no problem. Please help! -

I use the the HDV 1080i with Basic FireWire. I sometimes find it helpful to restart FCP if it does not recognize the V1U. Also you should make sure that DV down conversion is not on in the V1.

Still nothing here are the cam settings
VCR HDV/DV -Auto
DV REC Mode – Off
Component – 1080i/480i
i.Link Conv – Off
Down Convert – Squeeze
Now FCP is showing up on the opening screen with
Final Cut Pro – Volume License
I just reformatted the drive could this be a problem?
