v12 and AE
started my first project since loading v12 and everything has been great except after effects.
My first issue is that AE does not recognize the xml files exported from the M100. I’m running AE 6.5 and had no problems with v11.5. It not only refuses to recognize the xml file exported from the v12 project but also older files from v11.5.
Second issue is the video preview function in AE via the m100 hardware, the image just wont lock up. Double checked all of the settings after reading the ealier post but still no luck. Again this function worked great with v11.5 but is DOA in v12.
Any adviced greatly appreciated.

I wonder if the new CS3 AE importer module is incompatible with older versions of AE? Maybe you can copy the old importer module from your 11.x installation.

i’ve had the same thought but was hoping to avoid all of the uninstalling and reinstalling.

the importer was the solution, the older version of AE needs the older importer. The video monitor issue in AE was corrected by changing the settings in System Preferences – installing v12 steps on those settings.
