    I was advised to uninstall Vegas10c, reboot, then install 10d. I noticed 10c is 446MB and 10d is 197MB, which seems significant. What’s the best/safest way to get 10d installed, or does it matter?

    Whomever told you to uninstall 10C is misinformed.
    Uninstalling prior versions has never been required of SCS software.

    Also, you can’t compare installed vs. distribution sizes. The distribution download is always compressed. The actual numbers: Vegas 10c = 199,426kB, 10d = 201,868kB (64-bit version).
