V10.0 Multicam Editing & Track Priority
I’m currently working on a Multicam project where I have two camera video tracks and a third video track where I’ve placed .JPG’s saved from a PowerPoint presentation. Camera 1 and 2 have been sync’d and the .JPG’s added where they belong in the workflow. The idea is to add in the .JPG’s when the presenter makes reference to a particular slide.
I enabled the Multicamera Editing mode and have the three video tracks displayed in the preview window. I’m able to toggle the display and select the take I want as the project runs. Most of the time things work well except occasionally, the active take will move from one track to another. Example: Active in Cam 1 and then jumps to active in Cam 2 without my selecting it. I’m able to stop, reverse and correct it IF I happen to catch it. Is there a track priority? Is it ok to have blank areas in a track, such as placing .JPG’s intermittently with space between?
