  • UV MAP TO VECTOR (or hq)?

    Posted by Thomas Hendrikson on June 12, 2017 at 3:53 pm

    Hi there,

    For a project I’m making prints of uv maps. I want some high quality prints but whenever I export the uv map it comes out very pixelated and unusable. Is there a way to transport the uv map to a vector file so I can alter the size myself without losing quality? Or any other idea how I could have a HQ export?

    Best,
    Thomas

    Instead of using the BP “create UV map layer” function, try it this way:

    * select the paintbrush tool and choose your desired brush properties (width, color, softness). Keep in mind that these settings will be used to create your UV map outlines;

    * go into UV polygon mode and select all;

    * go to the Layer menu and click “outline polygons.”

    That will give you thicker UV grid that shouldn’t suffer from pixelization like the default “create UV map layer” function.
