    hi ron
im sure you have heard it before, but…

i like a threaded view, but it would be nice to see the posts i have read differetiated from the unread.

i also like a track threads feature that i have seen on other sites that when activated it will bring that thread back to the top if there are new posts made ( and of course indicate which posts are new)

right now you have to reply to a thread for a notifaction, and i dont always remember to check the email button (nor want an email for every thread i respond too)

thanks for the great site though 🙂

You can differentiate the read from unread posts in a thread.

When you read any of them in an individual sense, they are already marked as read.

If you happen to use the “Read Entire Thread” function, you can use the “Mark As Read” function that is inside that sub-area of the interface.

The only way we have for users to bring posts to the top is with the date/time sort interface. It serves the same utility function as allowing whole threads to be repositioned and so we haven’t added that. We may in the future. We have talked about it and it’s not an impossibility but there has not been a huge demand for it either.

Thanks for the kind words about the COW. They are appreciated.

    hmmm

i typicalled look at the threads im interested in and commanc click the T so im reading the entire thread.

i could easily be blind, but i dont see a Mark As Read button.

even if i click the read entire thread button on a post i still dont see a Mark As Read function :-/

ultimatte seems to crash out for me every time ae7’s auto save kicks in. i have to make sure i turn it off before using the plugin, because if i’m in the separate ultimatte UI, it will freeze (intel mac).
that said, i used it on some hdv footage recently, and it worked for me, when even flame wouldn’t key the shot as cleanly as ultimatte in this instance. it doesn’t work in all situations (you said you had deep shadows… i’ve never had much luck with that) but usually it’s pretty good.

Thanks again to everyone for your responses. I’ll be checking out the demos of the products suggested and see what works best for me.

how many years you think it will take to get Ultimatte to get an intel mac version out (if ever)
