  • Using Ultimate S Lite and Photo Montage

I’m using Ultimate S Lite in SVP 12 and am trying to add the Photo Montage to a single still image.

When I click Apply, the image disappears. It’s still on the timeline, but I can no longer see it within the Video Preview.

    Why is this happening?

Actually, I think I figured it out.

The image was a .PNG format. When I converted it to .JPG in Photoshop, it worked fine.

    Does Vegas not like PNGs?

Vegas used to love PNGs but for some strange reason, Pro 12 changed this relationship for the worse 🙁
You’re not the only one as a lot of users on various forums have been complaining about this lately.

I’m not seeing any problem with Ultimate S Lite and a single PNG file. I just tried it and it worked fine both from the timeline and from the file system.

I just tried with version 12, but with Production Assistant 2 Montage tool and it worked for me. Although the png file I used was created with Vegas Pro 12 from the Video Preview window.

    Yes, I have SVP 12 build 394.

I got the file originally online as a png file, then had to convert it to jpg in Photoshop before it would work.

Try some other png files when you get the chance, and see
if they behaves the same, and let me know.

Yea, it may be something particular to that PNG file. Make one of your own with Photoshop and try it.
