I have been using SVegas for almost a year now mostly at my computer at work, I recently bought a External Hard Drive 1TB. Sometimes I have access to a laptop and want to start using it at home to edit video.

Can I install a copy of SVegas onto the External Hard Drive and then use it on a laptop or someone elses computer without SVegas installed on the other computer

    Thanks for your assistance

Your editing software applications should all be
installed and running on the designated computer system drive…
External drives can be used for any other task.

The Vegas installation is tightly tied to the windows registry of the computer you install it on. Moving the drive to another computer would be useless. It would simply tell you that the installation is corrupt and to re-install it. Besides, Vegas requires activation so you need to install and activate it on every computer you use it on within the limits of the license agreement.
