  • Using Rotation angle to generate a whole number?

Posted by Adam Taylor on July 17, 2013 at 10:38 am

I need to find a way to take the rotation angle data from a null object, and apply it as a whole number to the Repeater Copies setting on a Shape Layer.

Essentially i need to use the angular number to create the same number of copies of a shape.

I know Expressions is the way to go, but i have no clue how to even attempt this…

    please help!!

edit: – I figured it out using the pickwhip and multiplying by a minus figure to get the effect i needed!

    Math.round(thisComp.layer(“Null 1”).transform.rotation)
