Using pen tool with camera movements
I have 3d object from 3ds max. In AE i have created a camera that moves along to see the parts of my 3d model. My requirement is to draw a path that follows on the surface of my model but, when i try to draw it using pen tool and as i go forward in time my camera moves and i see the further surface of my 3d model but, the path doesn’t respond to the camera movement. I hope you understand what i was saying.

The path won’t respond to the camera movement as it is a 2d layer .. for the path to work with the camera movement you have to the path layer 3d by clicking on the cube icon from the layer switches ..
Even if you make it a 3d layer if your 3d object is a complex shape it will mess things up as the path itself would always be in 2d space ..
Simplest solution in my opinion would be to precompose your camera and 3d object and then create the path in the composition containing that precomp …
