  • Using NOT black background?

Posted by Steve Stryker on March 6, 2009 at 11:57 pm

    Hi again,
Ok I am still very much a noob at all this.
I am doing a chroma key project.
I have the keying done well.
I am using Sony Vegas Pro 8
For the background I am using “cloudy sky”

Proble: the particle Illusions look washed out on the white background. Is there (what) am I missing or not setting up correctly?

    Thanks
    Steve

I’m not sure as you haven’t given enough details, but try these things:

    – In particleIllusion, render on black background, then when you check “save alpha” in the output options dialog, make sure “remove black…” is checked.

    – You can edit the properties of the emitter itself — double click it on the stage to open the properties dialog, then click the “particles” tab, and check the “preserve color” option that’s next to “intense”.

    Alan.

Thanks, I will try them. I have some time in the next few days.
