    I am learning about 3D space in AE and I was looking at a tutorial on video copilot. In using ways to move a camera around 3D space kramer used a NULL object to control position/ rotation on a camera while its moving…

    I was wondering…would using “another” camera create the same effect? or is it that you can’t have more than 1 camera in view at the same time?

    After Effects always renders the “active camera” — that is, the topmost visible camera layer. You can set up multiple cameras and “cut” between them by adjusting the in and out points of the layers, but you cannot transition among them.

    Rigging camera controls to nulls is a common trick to make camera control easier.
