    Hi,

I’ve been using After Effects for quite some time and have just started using Encore. I’m all new to Dvd authoring so I’m not sure what I’m asking is elementary and it’s hard to search for this issue because I don’t know Encore terminology.

I’m wondering if it’s possible to create a submenu and use it for two different directories without having to write the menu twice on a dvd. For instance, Let’s say I create a main menu with two buttons labeled ‘litho’ and ‘circa’. Then I create a submenu with three buttons labled ‘a’, ‘b’, and ‘c’. Is it possible to link ‘litho’ and ‘circa’ to the same submenu, but have the content of ‘a’ ‘b’ and ‘c’ (in the submenu) be contingent on whether ‘litho’ or ‘circa’ was selected in the main menu?

    Thanks for the help!

    -Michael

You would create 2 separate menus. Professional authors and designers do this all the time.
