  • Using Media Captured with Kona2 w/o Card

Posted by David Mallin on November 7, 2005 at 9:17 pm

I just got some material back from a telecine house that was captured with the Kona2, using 10-bit uncompressed 1080 23.986PsF. I have a BlackMagic Decklink card in my system, and I’m getting a codec error message. The video is just white. Is there someplace I can download and install the AJA codec to view the material, or do I need to have the post house send it to me again?

    Thanks
    David

If you are trying to use the BMD codecs it will not work,
AJA uses the standard apple 10bit codecs, unless the post house did something odd. Try creating a new sequence with those settings and importing the footage.

    Rebooting fixed the problem. Thanks!
