  using macbook pro as monitor for dv footage

  hello

  is it possible to use my macbook pro to screen back footage shot on dv / hdv? i have downloaded flipflop (https://web.mac.com/mark.burton/FlipFlop/FlipFlop.html) which is clearly designed to solve the issue i have except that i don’t get the sound through the laptop (only from the camera source) and i have read it doesn’t support HD.

  i don’t need a high quality monitor solution – this is for community video projects in remote parts of developing countries – but just want to be able to show what has been filmed.

  any solutions out there?
