Using LiveType Effects in Motion
Hey gang…
I need to know if this is possible or am I just dreaming. I’m in a sticky situation here… I’m a true blue FCP editor with and AfterEffects background. Here’s my problem… I’m running out of time creating a show open and close. I have an effect that I really like in Livetype that I am using on text and I want to apply this to video tracks for a layered effect of moving video.
My first thought and trial was to use LiveType for this since you can bring in video and manipulate it in any way possible. But here’s the real problem, I have about 9 tracks of moving images and LiveType seems to get really bogged down after the second clip. Its tough to move about and make changes. I know you all probably think I’m an idiot for even trying this BUT LiveType does have some really cool effects transitions.
I would use AE but its effects are very basic and I don’t have time to fool around to make something work. And I don’t really have any budget to purchase any more plugins since this is a once a year deal for us.
Can anybody shed some light on this? Hopefully someone has run across this same issue…

Which effect? Maybe it could be generated as a movie file and used as a mask.

Transporter… Its a cool effect that if I try to recreate it, it may take a while… Too much time for me right now. Sie La Vie!
