  Using Lens Flare filter

  I’ve been trying to create a lens flare around an layer element from Photoshop. No problem creating the effect, but the actual flare is cut off on the edges. I want the rays to go way past the Photoshop layer element, but right now the effect is literally “blocked” in. I know there must be a simple solution…can anyone please help with this?
