Using Kona2 Cards to speed rendering?
Just curious what others think of the Kona 2 card to speed rendering on a Macpro. Does it make much of a difference?

The Kona card does not speed up rendereing, in fact no card speeds up rendereing. all rendering in FCP is sped up by the amount of RAM you have and the RT Extreme engine (on board mac processors) found in FCP.
The Kona card has some hardware acceleration for only a few specific codecs but do not be confused the cards are all a means to get the signal in and out, THAT’S it!
