Using Kona LHi to connect HDTV as a third computer monitor
We’re looking into getting a new MacPro (one of the 12-core or 6-core 2010 releases). With our old 2008 MacPro with Decklink Extreme HD 2 card, we could use an HDTV as a 3rd monitor using Extended Desktop when it was not playing video from FCP or AE. My boss is pretty insistent that he can continue to do this.
There’s a few older posts regarding this, but I wanted to get a more up-to-date answer:
Is there an extended desktop feature for the Kona LHi? Can my boss continue to use his HDTV as a 3rd desktop monitor when FCP or AE are not in use? The HDTV would be connected to the Kona card via HDMI.——————————
