Aloha to all, trying to find a solution to using the Kona 3 Card to do a deinterlace onto standard def Pro Res (HQ) via Final Cut Pro and wondering if anyone has a workflow for this. I’ve gone ahead and duplicated an easy setup for Pro Res HQ and made sure the interlaced button was not clicked on in the advanced setup but any way I’ve tried to capture the file it always introduces interlacing into the file and hence I am getting some duplicate frame issues that I would like to avoid.

I know you can use various software like streamclip or compressor to generate deinterlaced files but the problem they degrade the overall picture. Wondering if anyone has figured out a workflow to use the Kona Cards Hardware to strip the file of it’s interlacing when coming in from a digibeta deck.
