  • Using internal memory while exporting image sequence

Posted by Nick Avaliani on March 7, 2011 at 11:27 pm

    Hello

I wonder if FCP uses internal memory when exporting rendered movie as image sequence? the movie is being exported to 6TB drive.

What I need to do if it uses internal disk I want to change it so that FCP would use 6TB drive instead of internal memory. My export was interrupted several times and I think it was because of internal memory. So please can you recommend me how to change it to 6tb and so process will not be interrupted. I need files for DCP so I cannot continue from the number it was stopped. Sequence must be exported as one.

That’s not about internal/external HDs, but about virtual memory, caches, etc.
I know that FC has problems on exporting long stills sequences from the time-line.
Why don’t you export a self contained movie and try QT?

Open in QT Player > Export > Image Sequence.
