Using incorrect rendering format?
I apologize if this has already been answered in a prior thread, but I was not able to find my answer. I am using Vegas 7.0 with WIN XP Home Edition. I have by default the properties for each new project to open with DV widescreen with pixels set for widescreen also. I imported a couple of stock footage clips. I pan/cropped them for “16×9” format. On the preview window, off the sub menu, I selected “simulate device aspect ratio”. At this point, the preview is making me feel like a VEGAS EDITING PRO. I formatted using MainConcept ~MPEG 2 with the DVD NTSC template. Rending looked good in the preview window in Vegas, but when I opened the MPG file in Windows Media Player, it showed up as a 4:3 format! I am safe to assume that using MainConcept ~MPEG 2 format, it automatically defaults to 4:3 format, despite me cropping to 16:9 in editing? What I am trying to do is post the clip @ MySpace. Eventually, I am wanting to burn a DVD in the future. Should I use MPEG 2 and use the DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen for authorizing? Thanks for your help.

You are not selecting widescreen when rendering.
When rendering use “DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream”,
then go in custom on the audio tab & tick ‘include audio stream’.Steve Rhoden
