Following ken stone’s advice on creating disk sparse image (https://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/fcp_x_managing_disk_image_martin.html) you can create your custom project without wasting space from your Hard drive, the problem was what i have to do if i have to add space to the virtual disk?
Well, i found this script for terminal that permits to change the dimension of the disk image without deleting files.
the only thing is not to have mounted the image when you do this.
Write this, using the size you want: hdiutil resize -size 30g then press space and drag and drop your image into the terminal, return.
Now you have your folder or template fcp x where you can subdivide your projects as large as you want.
    Ciao

Bear in mind that disk images still consume real capacity. You are creating a virtual file system, but it still takes up space on its host.

i have to try, but if you use hdiutil compact and drag your xxx.imagesparse file, i should resize it to its real usage.
