Using Illustrator paths as mask

November 10, 2016 at 3:46 pmOk this should be simple but for the life of me, I can’t figure it out.
I’ve looked around for explanations on doing this, and all of them refer to a “Path” property of the mask but there is no such thing!!
The exact thing I’m trying to do is, use the “Saber” plugin from Video Copilot, with vector paths from Illustrator as the customized core.
So when I add the Saber effect to a solid layer, I can draw a shape as a mask for it, but when I try to paste something into this mask layer, it just won’t work.
I’m sure I’m missing something simple here… -

Hmmm the keyframe thing… lemme try that.

All I have to do is create a new mask in the layer, and paste whatever paths I want inside it. Awesome. Thank you!
