    Hi,
I’ve started doing a series of video interviews via iChat. When I import these into FCP, I am first making them into prores (and also tried DV) files using compressor

The resulting files play fine in QT, but when imported in FCP, the audio cuts out, goes out of sync, video freezes, etc. This is even when I simply play them inside of FCP, before moving them to the timeline.

Any tips on the right “secret recipe” to best bring these files into fcp?

Are you forcing the proper frame rate?

A very poor assumption on my part that the recording was locked at 30fps. Forced the frame rate in compressor and al is well… walks away with tail between legs
