    Using HD t.v. as external monitor

    I am using final cut pro 6, I have a Panasonic AG-DV2000 deck, I have a HD t.v I am trying to using the t.v. as a external monitor, under the view menu in fcp, I have “all frames” selected I am going from the output on the back of the deck to the t.v. via S-video, I have the input on the t.v. set to S-video. I want to use the t.v. as a external monitor. I have tripled checked all my settings.
