I have a project on a hard drive that I work on in my office. When I bring it home and hook it up to my home comp (MacBook Pro with FCP 5.1.4) which is the exact same as my work comp and has the same software, on my home comp the project is unrendered although the scratch disks are set to the same place on the hard drive as the other comp. The strange part is that when I render it on the home comp, it’s like I put the audio in a blender. There will be 2 or 3 people speaking at once or there will be music when someone is talking. Basically the audio is just all mixed up, although the video stays the same. Can anyone help me fix this? Thanks

For me this sound like a problem with your home computer. In a case like that I would start for optimizing the System (permissions, DiskWarrior etc). If the problem would persist, them I would have a look to FC. Trashing prefs, reinstalling..

Thanks. Reinstalling FCP is not an option. Are there any other options?

    DiskWarrior. Rebuild the HD directories.
