Using H.264 for delay?
Just got hit with a question I don’t know the answer to, but someone here probably does:
Let’s say we are recording a live H.264 feed coming from either an ATEM Television Studio or an H.264 Pro Recorder on one PC, using Media Express software. Is it possible for a second PC on the same network to play the file while the first machine is still recording (we’re assuming that appropriate folder shares have been set up)? The objective is for a remote venue to be able to pick up a live event and join it cleanly on demand, typically delayed by several minutes.
Has anyone tried this? Or is there a better way to accomplish it without spending the big bucks for a full blown video server?
Thanks!
