Using Gradients as Transitions/Wipes
Is there a way in Vegas 7 to use a gradient created in Adobe PS to be used as a wipe from one still pic to another. This was an option that I used long ago in Adobe Premiere 6.5.
Say I have a bitmap, jpeg, or png. That starts at pure whit in the upper right corner and transitions to pure black in the lower left corner.
I have quite a few gradients in various forms that I would like to be able to use for this project.Thanks in advance.

This is the way Digital Juice does some of the the custom wipes in the Editor’s Toolkit package so there’s no reason why it won’t work for you.
Make sure to save the gradient as a PNG file though (over top of a transparent background) as you keep the alpha channel this way. -
If you have Spicemaster, this is even easier, as it’ll take the gradients in PNG or tif form and set them up exactly as you’d like them, including specific vector control, ramping, etc. They can also be combined with the Spicemaster wipes as well.
