Hi, I am starting to edit a huge project with 100 hours of mini-dv PAL (not HD) tapes. I have a G-tech 2 terrabyte Raid and will be working with an editor who uses AVID on his PC (Windows XP). I would also like to digitize and work a bit on the project on my Mac using Avid Media Composer for my mac — Mainly need to digitize some of the footage, not to waste the editors time digitizing everything…Anyway, I was told that there is a 4 GB limit if we format for both Mac and PC, using DOS formatting– What exactly does that limit mean? I assume its just for any ONE file and not the whole project…Any tips by people who have done this, switching between mac and pc in AVID editing? Anything else I should watch for or do? Thanks.
