We are more and more getting DVD copies of spots and footage from agencies and clients. What is the best way to get this onto our mac and into final cut?

There are MANY software options, a quick google (or search on the cow) will provide several great options, even some free ones.

This question is asked 10 times per week on average I believe. Search the forum or better yet, use the FAQ’s.

    Hi Walter,
It wouldn’t be a way that when somebody makes one of those millions of times asked and answered question be automatically addressed to the FAQs?
A little application in the COW server that when reads:
    – Footage from DVD.
    – DVD to FC.
    -Rip DVD…etc
..sends a message: HAD YOU TRY IN THE FAQs?
Even to tell the people to look over there start to be tiring.

For the longest time I assumed FAQ referred to questions about using the forum or Creative Cow, not about the FCP application itself. Maybe if it said “Final Cut Pro FAQs” or something similar it might direct more people there? Just a suggestion. I do find the search feature very useful and easy to use.
